Roofers use a variety of methods to secure valley cuts or gable end cuts. It’s common to find the cuts secured with silicon and flexible pointing – even tile chips jammed under the cuts. All these methods fail over time allowing the cut to slide out of position. The silicon or flexible pointing breaks down and lets go of the tile over time allowing the cut to slide. A galvanised clip is a permanent fixture securing the cuts for their required lifetime.
We recommend a galvanised valley clip (superior permanent fixture) be used to secure all cuts.
